crazzzymolly: Thank you girls,
What you mean you cant say
Anyway I am serious now, anyone know about why media players asking for a licence now and wont play my music
Hiya,
When it's telling you you need a licence is that to play MP3, WMA or CD
Have you changed anything recently? Any new bits or a reinstall of windows?
What often happens is if you are ripping CDs with windows media player by default it will security encode them so they can't be played on a different computer.
If they are bought and downloaded they will come encoded with a licence. If that licence is damaged or deleted the music won't play. Not sure how you would go about renewing licences if this is the case.
There may be a problem with Media Player (not unheard of) which will stop them from playing.
You could try downloading a different player. There are a lot of good freeware media players available. Try going to
www.tucows.com look in the audio/visual then audio then players. You should get a big list of programs. Ideally look for licences that are freeware or GPL this means they are fully operational at no cost. Some others have limitations in free version.
My preferences are Winamp, Musicmatch Jukebox, Mediamonkey. These all can be pay types but free versions will do most of what you want.
