Going to the stores today in all the entrances are Christmas novelties, trees etc. Being my 1st Christmas alone without my husband of 20 years i'm finding this difficult to deal with. Its going to be a sad time as it is why should we have to put up with seeing these things so early? and it's not just a case well don't go there cause everyone had too. anyone else feel the same? sigh

The earlier they put it up. The earlier you get in the spirit. The earlier you begin to spend $$$$$$$$.

Sorry about your husband, there is no easy way for you to get through this. Just take it moment by moment.wine hug bouquet of flowers

Christmas is so commercialised these day - $$$$ is all they think of

I too am alone during Christmas, so if you have family or friends to spend time with - make the most of it

As for your loss - bouquet of flowers - do something that you would have done together - he's spirit will be there with you i am sure

I am a Christmas lover too, my house is decked out with 50 million lights, carols blaring out the windows, it is all so exciting especially coz I still have kids that believe.

What annoys me is the gift lists and set amounts of money you're "allowed" to spend on each person. The joy and creativity of gift giving has gone out the window. I don't care how much anyone spends on me at christmas as long as I know they care and have thought of me. kiss

I don't like xmas much. I used to when my kids were little it was a lot of fun then but now.. to me its just a lot of expense, nothing is open, you eat and drink too much, and once everyone has eaten and drank too much they just wanna sleep... yawn

Hey joey,
Would you believe Christmas stuff has been in our supermarkets since around September here, It use to be special now the stores have turned it into a buy up bonanza for them and a who gives a shit about the kids or tradition, and yea its hard, my husband passed away 5 yeas ago and the first Christmas had a big hole in it. Christmases haven't really been the same since, BUT they have got better with each year, and when that mister right of ours pops out from behind his cupboard or underneath his car, they will get even better and it is going to happen. Just try to keep positive thoughts there or buy yourself a really nice indulgent Christmas pressy ..molly....

Be careful girls, might have to leave out the Viagra for Santa poor guy, such a high demand on him, may have to let the elves take over or he could have a heart attack, Spreading his condoms of joy all over the world.

Hi Joey wave yes its ridiculous how from the end of OCT you start seeing Xmas decorations everywhere.....but this year was even earlier than the previous years, i think its because of the global economy, they are trying to get people to buy buy buy.....as sales are down pretty badly this year.

So sorry to hear about your Hubby, stay strong, and i do believe they are watching from afar, and are always with us. bouquet of flowers teddy bear
