My old account on here, I had blocked all foreign places, except a few, but this account, I haven't done so yet. I need to though as I am getting them again but they come is spurts. I get 5 one day, none the next. 5 more the next day etc... Nothing but spammers and I ignore them.

actually.. I did block emails from other countries (except UK and canada cos I'm a pomme myself and I like canadians ) when I first joined this site.. and I didn't get any for ages!!.. but recently I have been getting them and I don't know why???

and... I open emails before I view the persons profile (I rarely bother to read the profile if what they say makes me go.. EEEEEEWWWWWWWWW.. so ok.. shoot me if that is rude )

Its a shame really that a few bad eggs ruin it for the rest of us, i personally like the overseas ones better than home country ones, its more exciting and the rest of the world just has so much more to offer. But then again, being male i probably dont get those "Sexx me now" mails as much as you lovley ladies.

I got an email that was headed... friendship... now that caught my eye.
He did not flirt once in the email and just talked about general things and asked not too personal questions and I emailed him back.
And it went from there... we wil become pretty good friends now

i often use the flower option and the line i'd like to hear from you.
i was of the opinion that would be the most subtle way of grabbing a ladies attention and hopefully she would view my profile. and then if she has similar interests and can cope with my bart simpson (that's for you blonde, lol) she might reply with some sort of positive response, or politely advise me she's not interested.
i guess i'm just not up to speed with what is appropriate, i've tried very hard to convert my ways to what i am today versus the biker i was, but it seems, to have a better chance at being interesting to the "ladies", i should have retained the rough and ready approach.
