For those of you who use msn messenger, what do you think when you read other peoples byline on them?

Eg, at the moment, mine says 'You've already won me over, in spite of you'

So you would think what?

Pretty obvious but it's not true.

90% of mine are song lyrics. 5% of them are funny/sarcastic lines or quotes. 5% of mine are random crap such as 'woohoo on holidays' etc.

Do you really take notice to what people have written on theirs? I don't usually as msn is always minimised and I never really check it.

Only asking as my current quote turn a few heads from all directions. Some think I am in love, some think I met a random for a change and hes nice, some had no idea what it meant and a certain male didn't talk to me as he thought I was in love.. (This one cracks me up as I don't talk to many folks on msn and he thought he was the only one and I had a 'thing' for him. dunno )

Actually, just looked and I lied, my current one says 'you ain't nothing but a hooker, selling your fucking soul'...... song lyrics but half aimed at someone wink

So, do you read the little ditties and wonder what's going on in their life going by the line?

I should start taking more notice..

Yep i certaintly do, i had to look at yours a few times to catch the meaning of what they ment and the like lol.

I can honestly admit that mine turns some heards as i tend to say some rather random crap like for eg mine is: We humans need strict supervision. Don't ask me where i get half of em though as i have no idea...the other half on the other hand are from movies, music, games and so on and so forth.

I love the by-lines... and I love the inane bylines that leave people completely shocked...

My current one "omfg on stage and I break my G string!"

makes me giggle... cheering

No I have no experience. But one assumes they are like signature lines on text messages.

And yes you should be wary of those lines. As you could give a very wrong impression to a new contact or an old contact.

They may read the tag jump to a conclusion and respond differently to how they would of.

Much like I did in response to Shygirl. But you take the risk of missing a compatible person or losing a close contact from an inane message that was misinterpreted by an unknowing individual.

'You've already won me over, in spite of you' would imply to me that yes someone had got your attention.

So you chase away that watcher who was thinking about contacting you, then saw that you had hooked up so they moved on to some other lucky lady. You miss out on Mr Perfect, Someone else gets to live like a princess until they die of old age.

In a court of law if it is written and it is on your message. You well be held accountable for it. Whether it was a throw away line, Tongue in cheek, Or pure Random. If it caused offense, Or a death, Or triggered a psychotic reaction. You will be held responsible for it.

Well you've seen my Skype addy.

"A Canadian suntan, Blue!"

It's just a warning that if you come to visit Canada in any other months than June, July or August, buy long underwear.laugh

By the way, it was 17 celsius yesterday and it's snowing today. The weather changes radically here and you can't trust the weatherman.laugh

Yeah Lou I notice them

some of them i find very amusing and others are plain rude and then you get the ones that just don't mean anything..

If i am curious about what is writtin i'll ask. I have actually had a couple directed at me and as soon as i have questioned the person, they have removed it and then started sucking up majorly.

I'll put stuff up occassionally if i can be bothered.

Each to your own i guess. wave

I am very wary now Drags, already upset one person for something I had on there. Totally a random saying but they took it to heart thinking it was about them. D'oh!

Yep one can do that very easily. Either a guilty conscience, Or misconstruing there relationship to sender. Or just misinterpreting wording or tense.

Give them a hug. And they will get over it.comfort handshake cheers hug peace
