About me:

First of all I don't have fixed ideas about the type of relationship I'm after - it could be any of the options listed (depends on the person). Thoughtful, intelligent, reasonably sensitive. Quite patient and not a loud type of bloke (e.g. I don't watch footy or drink beer). I am quite an independent person, but I love the intimacy, affection and friendship of a loving relationship. More of a home body than a rager. A bit of a dag (but nice with it). People say I'm nice, but sometimes I'd rather be thought dangerously sexy, darn it - oh well, can't have everything. I have a dry, some say cynical, sense of humour and can at times be witty.

Left of centre politically (Democrat/Green/Labor) though not rabid about it, tolerant of other views. From Victoria ages ago. Travelled and worked OS a bit. I live on the West Tamar, 25 km's from Launceston in a house I'm renovating (slowly). I run my own business from home. I'm a disgustingly handy chappy - when I get around to it. A clean casual dresser. I don't own a suit or tie, but I like a well made shirt and quality shoes. Although I've labelled myself 'Medium/Proportioned' I am perhaps teetering on the Large category at 180 cm & 90 kg, but I am not at the ageing saggy stage so a bit of exercise would see me back in good trim (hey I could just not mention it like everyone else - at least I'm being honest, you know up front what you're getting). I have a cat (in case you're allergic). Very hard to describe yourself as others see you isn't it?

I'm looking for:

Most of these things are not absolute requirements, just things I like. I would hardly expect to find someone that's the 'perfect' combination of them just as I would not be anyones idea of perfect. Intelligence is attractive and eyes that show it. Perhaps a bit on the left, hippy chick side, rather than an ambitious workaholic - or at least a bit of warmth and an ability to empathize with other peoples situations. The physical aspect (looks, body) does count to some degree, but I'm not after perfection, just someone that feels nice and responds to being touched. I'm ok with (a few) kids and while I can accept that they come first (it goes without saying) I would expect that a woman would have some time for just the two of us, as in any normal beginning relationship. If I find a woman attractive I'm not so fussed about age. I'm only interested in someone from WITHIN Australia please. While I welcome attention from the rest of Australia, I don't think I'd ever go back there to live (the weather is too nice here).
